Cernium Contribution to MLB All-Star Game

Reston, VA – July 11, 2006 — Cernium Corporation, the leading provider of advanced video analytics, announced that PNC Park in Pittsburgh, site of the 2006 Major League Baseball All-Star Game on July 11, will use Cernium’s state-of-the-art intelligent video analytics system to monitor security video for events surrounding the All-Star Game. InterTECH Security LLC, PNC Park’s security consultant, selected the Cernium Perceptrak® system, which alerts security personnel when it detects suspicious behaviors, such as fallen persons, abandoned or removed objects, facility intrusions, and lurking or erratically-behaving individuals.

“Advanced video analytics is an extremely effective way to ensure that every security camera is being continuously monitored for behaviors or events that may require the added attention of security or law enforcement personnel,” said Chris Wetzel, COO of InterTECH.

InterTECH and PNC Park join a wide range of Cernium customers that are adopting video analytics, including the City of San Diego, Boeing Corporation, The Johns Hopkins University, the City of Yonkers Municipal Parking Authority and George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate. Perceptrak® is the only advanced video analytics solution able to simultaneously analyze security video for any combination of 18 distinct behaviors, from 16 cameras, in real time, on a single video processor.

“The Cernium Perceptrak® system constantly monitors for suspicious behavior and then alerts to that behavior in real-time, so that security officers can be preemptive and not reactive,” said Robert Evans, Regional Director of Cernium Corporation. “Cernium is very pleased to be working with InterTECH Security and PNC Park to make the 2006 Major League Baseball All-Star Game a safe and successful celebration.”

InterTECH is proud to have been chosen to participate in the security preparations for the 2006 Major League Baseball All-Star Game. For more information on CCTV security video and video analytics, contact InterTECH Security.
