DMP Burglary Panels Meet False Alarm Standards
DMP Announced last week that their full line of intrusion / burglar alarm panels meet ANSI / SIA CP-01-2000 False Alarm Reduction Standards. The list of panels includes:
- XR-100
- XR-100N
- XR-500
- XR-500N
- XR-500E
- XR-Super6
- XR-20
- XR-40
Text from the announcement: According to SIA (Security Industry Association), ANSI/SIA CP-01-2000 details design features for security system control panels that reduce false alarms in residential and commercial applications. It covers event recognition, information handling sequences and provisions for system layout testing. CP-01-2000 strengthens user interface features to increase prevention and recovery from user-caused false alarms.
"It’s essential that we give our dealers and their customers all the false-alarm reduction tools we can—including ones that go beyond the compliance standard," said DMP Vice President of Sales Gary Kallman. "We're dedicated to innovations in false-alarm prevention that meet today’s standards and anticipate future ones."
CP-01 standards for false-alarm reduction include new exit-delay progress annunciation and alarm cancel features, plus fail-to-exit protection and an automatic exit delay restart feature.
ANSI/SIA CP-01 standards are developed in association with security manufacturers, UL and both American and Canadian industry groups.
