DMP Software Update Simplifies Commands

Springfield, Missouri—November 17, 2006— Digital Monitoring Products, one of the few U.S. providers of control panels made in the United States, has announced the release of Software Update Version 116 that includes powerful new end-user shortcut keys and simple home/sleep/away arming for the XR100 and XR500 Series.

Arming updates make system operation easier than ever, with the new Home/Sleep/Away arming option that enables users to arm perimeter, interior, and bedroom areas with ease. Selecting Home arms only the perimeter protection of the system and selecting Sleep arms the perimeter and interior areas but leaves devices near bedrooms and other nighttime areas off. Simply selecting Away arms all areas of the system. All/Perimeter mode arms either the perimeter by itself or the perimeter and interior as needed.

New Shortcut Keys add even more convenience to the XR100 and XR500 Command Processor Panels by enabling users to press a single key to activate the desired function in the system without using the menu. Shortcut keys are designed for Arm Home/Perimeter, Arm Sleep, Arm Away/All, Sensor Reset (Fire Reset) and Chime settings.
