Download Improved Firmware for Bosch Video Encoders & Decoders
Release firmware 1.50 for VIP X1, VIP X2, VIP XD, and MPEG ActiveX 2.91 encoders incorporates sophisticated motion detection and performance and reliability improvements when displaying video.
Bosch Security Systems has released new firmware 1.50 for VIP X1, VIP X2 and VIP XD, as well as the MPEG ActiveX 2.91. The most significant benefit of this upgrade is the introduction of sophisticated motion detection, as well as performance and reliability improvements when displaying video.
Customers can download the firmware for free at: http://download.boschsecuritynews.com/vcs/tempdir/VIP X 1.50.zip (22MB, includes manuals) http://download.boschsecuritynews.com/vcs/tempdir/MPEG ActiveX 2.91.zip (3MB)
The key advantages of firmware version 1.50 for VIP X1, VIP X2 and VIP XD are:
- Built-in motion detection, including tamper protection and unified picture detection
- On alarm, an e-mail with a JPEG attachment can be generated.
- When using a VIP X2, two JPEGs (one per camera) are possible
- FTP JPEG posting
Additional functionality includes:
- SNMP MIB II and traps now have full functionality with community string
- The device’s HTML page access can be set to TCP ports 80 and 10000 to 10100 to allow NAT support
- The video stream can be configured for connection via TCP or UDP
- For alarm connection with VIP X2, the default video input is adjustable
- IGMP V3 is supported in addition to IGMP V2
- Audio and Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) are supported by the new VIP X hardware models.
- MPEG ActiveX 2.91 fully supports the features in VIP X and VideoJet 8008/8004 firmware release 1.50 (motion detection, audio functions).
