GE Releases Facility Commander 2.1
GE Infrastructure, Security is pleased to announce the immediate availability of Facility Commander Version 2.1.
Facility Commander is a security integration platform that integrates access control, digital video, analog CCTV matrix switchers, intercom, and intrusion systems. The product uses the latest components in Java technology, is based on IT standards, and runs on commercial off-the-shelf platforms. Facility Commander provides interoperability between security systems from different vendors, and gives the security operator a single, intuitive console that can manage these different systems.
Facility Commander was first released almost 2 years ago-and our ever-growing customer base has given us great feedback on version 2.0! One of the best features for improving productivity is the Multi-Viewer. Security guards have told us that this is a big time-saver, since it gives them one-click access to the alarm monitor, video viewer, and map viewer. They say that the graphics maps are extremely easy to use, and give them the power they were looking for. For example, by clicking on an intercom icon, they can connect to an intercom station, bring up live video from a camera at the door, and unlock the door. Another big winner with our customers is the automatic video popup on alarm feature. The video viewer displays both recorded and live video giving customers instant visibility to situations, decreasing their need to dispatch security personnel to alarm locations.
We listened to our customers and as a result have expanded the integration in 2.1 to include:
* Integration with Pelco and Bosch Allegiant analog CCTV matrix switchers
* Ability to view video from multiple Video IQ systems
* Expanded integration of the Alliance/ATS intrusion devices-keypads and outputs
* A powerful drag and drop camera feature, further enhancing the user's experience and increasing productivity
