GE to Acquire Edwards Systems Technology

General Electric's Infrastructure division today announced their intent to buy Edwards Systems Technology, the famous fire systems manufacturer, from SPX Corporation for $1.4 Billion. The transaction must be approved by regulators, but could be completed in 3 months.

Both GE and EST are existing InterTECH Security supply partners.
