InterTECH Security Service Technician Goes the Extra Mile

It was Friday evening when Mark Hall received a call from a customer who had a problem with his fire alarm system. Not knowing the extent of the road conditions, the customer needed Mark to come onsite that evening. He was in a panic that it was in an alarm and couldn't get it to stop. On his way to that location, major roadways were closed off and Mark had to find alternate routes to the customer site. As it turns out, Mark was attempting to get to the customer for almost 5 hours and his van almost got stuck in flood waters. He made his way to a Wal-Mart parking lot where he slept all night until 4:30AM!!! He did take a break and ate dinner at the nearby Eat 'N Park restaurant.

The story doesn't end there. Upon waking up at 4:30AM in his service van to the loud sounds of a bull-dozer moving dirt off the roadway, Mark was able to make his way home to get some restful sleep. Upon arriving home, Mark received another call from the customer he attempted to visit the night before. Mark then proceeded successfully to the customer on Saturday morning by 8:00AM after the roads opened up and he diagnosed the problem with his fire system.

The story still does not end there… On his drive home from this customer at 9AM on Saturday morning, he received a series of other emergency response call from 6 additional customers! After being stranded in his vehicle on Friday night, Mark proceeded to take care of customers all day on Saturday and didn't return to his home until 7PM where he could finally rest.
Mark also got an additional emergency call on Sunday when I'm sure he was planning to relax and watch the Steeler game!

The original call that Mark attempted to drive to on Friday night turned out to be a bad fire panel that needed replacing. Mark and the InterTECH service team had a new panel ordered and shipped by Wednesday this week and Mark returned to replace this panel by the end of the day on Wednesday.

I would like to recognize Mark's efforts this weekend. It exemplifies the spirit of a service company that Delivers Excellence and in the process, Embraces Achievement by focusing on the needs of the customer and going the extra mile.

Thanks Mark!
